đź“‹ Description
- • Lead and manage a team of 5+ full-stack engineers focused on building and scaling Givebutter’s Treasury pod, including Givebutter Wallet features, payment tools, and financial dashboards.
- • Directly ship code, review pull requests, and participate in architectural decisions while maintaining hands-on involvement in the codebase—expected to be in the editor regularly and pair with engineers to resolve ambiguity.
- • Own the technical direction and execution of financial infrastructure, including same-day ACH transfer tools, card issuing systems, and QuickBooks integrations that enable nonprofits to move money faster.
- • Build and maintain secure, reliable, and scalable financial systems that allow nonprofits to earn rewards on their funds and optimize cash flow, adhering to compliance, security, and data integrity standards in regulated environments.
- • Collaborate with the VP of Engineering to define and execute the Treasury engineering strategy aligned with company-wide product vision and growth objectives.
- • Improve internal engineering workflows by refining best practices for CI/CD, code quality, maintainability, and scalability across the team.
- • Champion a product-oriented mindset by prioritizing user impact, consistency, and performance in all financial features delivered to nonprofit customers.
- • Mentor and develop engineers through regular one-on-ones, career pathing, and feedback loops, fostering a culture of ownership, growth, and technical excellence.
- • Hire and build high-performing remote engineering teams, ensuring alignment with Givebutter’s values and technical standards while scaling the organization.
- • Evaluate and apply AI and machine learning tools to innovate within financial product development, identifying opportunities to enhance automation, risk detection, or user experience.
- • Monitor production systems, respond to incidents, and ensure system reliability by staying close to how financial infrastructure behaves in real-world usage.
- • Enable seamless, automated deployments through fully integrated CI/CD pipelines, allowing engineers to focus on innovation rather than operational overhead.
- • Foster a culture of Code Democracy where engineers have a voice in architecture decisions and technical direction, encouraging open dialogue and diverse perspectives.
- • Drive organizational alignment between engineering, product, and compliance teams to ensure financial products meet regulatory requirements and user needs simultaneously.
- • Balance rapid iteration with long-term system stability, ensuring that growth in transaction volume does not compromise security, auditability, or performance.
- • Promote a high standard for maintainable and scalable solutions by enforcing code reviews, testing protocols, and architectural documentation across the team.
🎯 Requirements
