• • As an Engineering Manager for Enpal's Virtual Power Plant (VPP) team, you will be at the forefront of revolutionizing the energy market by leading a dedicated group of engineers in developing and scaling a cutting-edge software and IoT ecosystem. • • The VPP team is responsible for connecting thousands of home batteries and solar systems to the energy market, creating a decentralized power plant that optimizes energy trading. Your role will involve guiding the technical vision and execution of a platform that leverages real-time market data, household consumption patterns, battery states, and dynamic price signals to make intelligent, automated decisions about when to buy or sell energy.
• • You will lead, mentor, and foster the growth of a small, highly technical team comprising five backend engineers and one product manager. This is a backend-focused domain, characterized by its data-intensive nature and the critical importance of real-time decision-making. A strong understanding of or experience with IoT technologies and device communication will be a significant asset in this role.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to build and enhance the technology that empowers households to actively participate in renewable energy trading. This involves architecting and implementing robust, scalable, and intelligent systems capable of handling complex, real-time operations.
• • You will guide the design and evolution of reliable, intelligent, and real-time decision systems. This requires a deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native principles to ensure high availability, low latency, and efficient resource utilization.
• • Shape and refine a platform built on modern, cloud-native microservices. You will be instrumental in defining the architecture, ensuring its scalability, resilience, and maintainability. Experience with event-driven architectures and seamless IoT integrations will be crucial for success.
