- • Serve as the founding Enterprise Architect to build the Enterprise Architecture function from the ground up, establishing playbooks, reference architectures, technical discovery frameworks, and deal patterns for future EAs to inherit.
- • Act as the senior technical voice on strategic enterprise deals, leading technical discovery sessions with CTOs, CIOs, and Chief Procurement Officers to close architectural gaps between customer environments and Zip’s platform.
- • Design and deliver foundational assets including customer system landscape templates, integration capability matrices, security & compliance documentation, and objection response libraries to standardize enterprise sales engagements.
- • Own the end-to-end system integration narrative for Zip’s platform, specifically detailing how it connects with SAP (ECC, S/4HANA, Ariba), Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, Coupa, Ivalua, and Jaggaer using proprietary middleware.
- • Translate complex customer procurement and system landscapes into credible, executable integration plans that align with enterprise technical and compliance requirements.
- • Bridge go-to-market and product teams by translating customer feedback and technical requirements into clear, evidence-based product inputs that influence roadmap prioritization.
- • Enable the sales and solution engineering teams by coaching Account Executives and Solution Engineers on technical positioning, executive-level architectural conversations, and objection handling.
- • Drive technical credibility in enterprise sales cycles by leading security reviews, proof-of-concept (PoC) executions, and architectural validations at Fortune 500 organizations.
- • Collaborate directly with the Global Solution Engineering leader and partner cross-functionally with Sales, Solution Engineering, and Product to evangelize Zip to the world’s most iconic brands.
- • Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the end-to-end intake-to-pay procurement lifecycle and how data flows across enterprise systems.
- • Maintain current expertise in integration architecture patterns including iPaaS (MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato), REST APIs, event-driven systems, and ETL processes.
- • Represent Zip as the senior technical authority in high-stakes executive meetings with C-suite stakeholders across procurement, IT, and finance functions.
- • Continuously refine and scale the Enterprise Architecture practice to support rapid growth and increasing enterprise adoption across North America.
🎯 Requirements
- • 15+ years in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, pre-sales engineering, or product roles at B2B SaaS, iPaaS, or ERP/system-of-record vendors
- • Deep domain knowledge of the full intake-to-pay procurement lifecycle and data movement between enterprise systems
- • Strong command of the ERP ecosystem, including APIs, data models, and integration patterns across SAP (Ariba, S/4HANA, ECC), Oracle, Workday, Coupa, Ivalua, and Jaggaer
- • Hands-on fluency with integration architecture and middleware: iPaaS (MuleSoft, Boomi, Workato), REST APIs, event-driven patterns, ETL
- • Proven success selling into or implementing solutions at Fortune 500 customers
- • Track record of owning security reviews and proof-of-concepts (PoCs) at enterprise scale
