- • Serve as the primary technical sales lead throughout the pre-sales cycle, owning Proof of Value (POV) outcomes and co-leading customer relationships with Enterprise Account Executives in the Benelux region.
- • Conduct in-person and remote product demonstrations to articulate the technical value of Abnormal Security’s email security platform to enterprise customers.
- • Provide technical pre-sales support to assigned Enterprise Account Executives, enabling them to meet and exceed sales objectives and account-based penetration strategies.
- • Discover and uncover customer pain points, business requirements, and security objectives through consultative engagement and active listening.
- • Craft and deliver value-driven presentations using PowerPoint and Google Slides that translate technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes.
- • Perform technical and competitive landscape research to accurately address customer questions and position Abnormal Security against alternatives.
- • Act as a technical resource during pre-sales security and platform diligence processes, including answering technical inquiries from security and IT teams.
- • Educate internal sales executives and external partners on Abnormal Security’s product architecture, platform features, and email security best practices.
- • Drive customer satisfaction by obsessively focusing on successful POV results and long-term customer outcomes.
- • Work independently in a high-velocity sales environment while maintaining a strong sense of ownership over customer success and technical accuracy.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical solutions with enterprise customer needs, particularly within FTSE 500 organizations.
- • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Internet protocols (HTTP, SMTP, DNS), networking topology, TCP/IP, and security infrastructure components such as firewalls and routers.
- • Represent Abnormal Security as the trusted technical advisor during enterprise sales cycles, ensuring clarity, credibility, and technical precision in all customer interactions.
- • Influence technical and business stakeholders through virtual and in-person formats, adapting communication style to audience level and organizational context.
- • Demonstrate high emotional intelligence by reading the room, engaging empathetically, and responding effectively to customer concerns and objections.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years industry experience in sales engineering
- • Technical background in messaging and Internet security principles
- • Strong understanding of Internet protocols (HTTP, SMTP, DNS) and networking topology (TCP/IP, firewalls, routers)
- • Prior experience selling software to FTSE 500 companies
- • Fluency in Dutch
- • BSCS/BSEE or equivalent work experience
