Enterprise Solutions Engineering Manager

📋 Description

• • Lead and grow a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers focused on enterprise-level, complex sales deals at Ashby.
• • Hire, onboard, and develop world-class Solutions Engineers who serve as trusted technical advisors to enterprise prospects across large organizations.
• • Coach Solutions Engineers on enterprise-specific skills including discovery with multi-stakeholder buying committees, POC design and execution, security and compliance conversations, API-level technical fluency, and executive-level storytelling.
• • Partner closely with Enterprise Account Executives to align on pipeline priorities and lead the technical track alongside commercial efforts on strategic deals.
• • Oversee team involvement in demos, proof-of-concept (POC) trials, security reviews, and RFP responses across IT, Legal, HR, Finance, and executive sponsor groups.
• • Review and elevate team execution, stepping in as a technical expert when deals demand advanced solutioning or executive-level engagement.
• • Refine and scale enterprise Solutions Engineering processes including demo workflows, POC frameworks, trial structures, RFP response libraries, and internal knowledge bases.
• • Build enablement assets such as competitive positioning playbooks, security questionnaire libraries, integration guides, and value engineering frameworks for complex, long-horizon deals.
• • Translate field insights from enterprise customers into actionable product feedback and roadmap input through close collaboration with Product and Engineering teams.
• • Partner cross-functionally with Customer Success, Marketing, and Implementation to ensure consistent messaging and seamless handoffs throughout the enterprise customer journey.
• • Identify high-leverage problems in the enterprise SE motion using data, field observation, and stakeholder input, then develop clear proposals with business outcome alignment.
• • Own end-to-end implementation of strategic initiatives—from diagnosis and buy-in to change management and adoption—with minimal oversight and a high bar for execution.
• • Operate as a strategic contributor beyond the SE team, shaping how Ashby scales its enterprise go-to-market motion, not just how the SE org operates.
• • Foster a culture of ownership, rigor, and continuous improvement within the Solutions Engineering team.
• • Empower the team to architect custom solutions that map Ashby’s configurable platform to the unique, nuanced hiring workflows of enterprise talent teams.
• • Drive technical wins by demonstrating how Ashby transforms enterprise hiring processes, not just by running generic product demos.
• • Build and maintain scalable systems including RFP libraries, competitive playbooks, and demo environments with intentionality and operational discipline.
• • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and executive audiences, and coach others to do the same.
• • Leverage deep empathy for enterprise Talent teams to solve their real, operational challenges with tailored technical solutions.
• • Maintain alignment with product direction by ensuring field insights directly inform product development priorities.
• • Ensure enterprise sales motion is repeatable, scalable, and consistently delivers value across diverse organizational structures and compliance requirements.
