- • The Epic Analyst II - Beaker AP role is critical to optimizing OU Medicine’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, specifically the Beaker module, by advising on development, support, and functionality rollout to enhance clinical workflows and patient care delivery.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include serving as a primary point of contact for resolving complex technical issues, providing end-user technical support, guiding team members on routine maintenance (e.g., software updates and patches), coordinating testing and validation of system changes, leading performance and usability optimization efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams (IT, clinicians, administrators, vendors), maintaining comprehensive documentation, and providing training and mentorship to junior analysts and end-users.
- • The role sits within the IT Care Delivery Applications department at OU Medicine, Inc., a healthcare organization committed to delivering innovative, patient-centered care through advanced health information technology systems.
- • In this role, the individual will deepen their expertise in Epic Beaker functionality, strengthen cross-functional collaboration skills, gain experience in healthcare workflow optimization, and develop leadership capabilities through mentoring and project coordination, positioning them for advancement to higher-level EHR analyst roles or specialized Epic certification paths.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's Degree required
- • 3 - 5 years of applicable IT or healthcare experience required
- • Epic 'Beaker' certification or accreditation required
- • Excellent analytical, organization, and verbal communication skills
- • Strong understanding of healthcare business process and technology
- • Strong desktop tool usage including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
