- • Your primary responsibility will be to perform on-site installations, repairs, and routine maintenance tasks with precision and efficiency, adhering strictly to established procedures and under the guidance of senior team members.
- • A key aspect of your role will involve diagnosing technical issues by following systematic troubleshooting steps, identifying the root cause of errors, and implementing effective solutions to restore equipment functionality.
- • You will be expected to actively listen to and comprehend customer requirements, offering appropriate recommendations to enhance their experience and ensure optimal equipment performance.
- • Maintaining an organized and well-stocked service van is essential, ensuring you have all necessary tools and inventory readily available to complete service calls efficiently and effectively.
- • Accurate and timely documentation is paramount; you will be responsible for producing detailed service reports that accurately reflect work performed, parts used, and any follow-up actions required.
- • Continuous learning and professional development are integral to this position. You will attend all mandatory training sessions, including Henry Schein Dental's Career Development programs and specialized manufacturer technical training, to stay abreast of the latest technologies and service techniques.
- • Safety is a top priority. You will strictly comply with all OSHA regulations as outlined in the OSHA manual and training, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) whenever necessary to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- • Effective communication is vital. You will maintain timely and clear communication with all team members, including HUB dispatchers, providing regular updates on assignment progress and any potential challenges.
- • Efficient work order management is critical. You will complete all assigned work orders promptly, reviewing the completed work with the customer or a designated staff member before departure. This review will encompass the time spent on-site, the specific work performed, parts replaced, and any parts that need to be ordered.
- • All work orders must be closed daily and submitted for billing to ensure accurate and timely processing of service requests.
- • You will be responsible for submitting all job-related paperwork, including FDA Forms, expense reports, and any other required documentation, within the stipulated timeframes.
- • Adherence to the Fleet Management Policy is mandatory, encompassing all aspects of vehicle maintenance and accident management to ensure the safe and efficient operation of your service vehicle.
- • This role may also involve participation in special projects and the performance of other duties as assigned, offering opportunities to contribute to broader company initiatives and expand your skill set.
- • The physical demands of this role require the ability to maneuver large equipment, and may involve substantial and/or repetitive bending, stopping, lifting, and climbing ladders, reflecting the hands-on nature of field service.
