  • • We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team, playing a pivotal role in the successful execution of commercial flooring projects. This is a remote position, open to candidates across Latin America, offering a full-time engagement from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm EST. As an Estimator, you will be the crucial nexus connecting our clients, our in-house estimating department, and our remote pricing team, ensuring the seamless flow of information and the timely delivery of accurate, comprehensive bids.
  • • Your primary responsibility will be to produce precise and detailed estimates for a wide array of residential and commercial projects. This role demands a proactive approach, exceptional communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail, all within a fast-paced, ever-evolving work environment. You will be instrumental in managing the coordination, communication, and administrative facets of the entire estimating process, directly contributing to the company's ability to secure and successfully deliver on bids.
  • • A significant aspect of this role involves acting as a key liaison between our estimating team and our valued clients. You will be responsible for receiving, meticulously analyzing, and managing all Invitations to Bid (ITB). This includes facilitating clear and consistent communication channels, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned throughout the bidding lifecycle. Your ability to bridge the gap between client needs and internal capabilities will be paramount.
  • • Furthermore, you will expertly manage the Request for Information (RFI) process. This involves handling all RFIs generated by the estimating team, which may pertain to blueprints, project scope, or quantity discrepancies. You will engage directly with customers and clients to discuss these RFIs, diligently work towards securing timely and satisfactory answers, and then effectively communicate the resolutions back to the estimating team, ensuring no detail is overlooked.
  • • Coordination with our remote pricing department, based in India, is another core function. You will be responsible for managing their workflow, ensuring they receive all necessary documentation and information to process pricing requests accurately and efficiently. This requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage cross-cultural and remote team dynamics.
  • • Proactive vendor and supplier communication is essential. When email requests for pricing prove insufficient or a more immediate response is required, you will be expected to proactively pick up the phone and engage directly with vendors and suppliers to expedite pricing information. This hands-on approach ensures that our bids remain competitive and are based on the most current market rates.
  • • Rigorous deadline management is non-negotiable. You will be tasked with meticulously tracking all bid submission deadlines, ensuring that all internal teams, including estimating and pricing, are fully aware of and on track to meet these critical timelines. Your vigilance in this area will prevent missed opportunities and maintain our reputation for reliability.
  • • While not expected to be a technical estimator, you must develop a strong understanding of fundamental commercial flooring terminology. This knowledge will enable you to communicate effectively with clients, estimators, and other industry professionals. You will also be responsible for producing detailed estimates for both New Construction and Design-Build projects, analyzing drawings, scopes, and specifications to generate accurate material takeoffs and labor estimates.
  • • Mastery of the company's proprietary bid tracking software, specifically the Joint AI system, will be a key requirement. You will use this system to log, track, and manage the status of all active bids and takeoffs, ensuring data integrity and providing clear visibility into project pipelines.
