- • As an Event Marketer at OpenRouter Inc., you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s emerging events strategy by transforming ideas into memorable, high-impact experiences that resonate with developers, startups, AI-native teams, and executive audiences. This is an early, ownership-driven role where you’ll help build the events function from the ground up, working cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and EPD to execute events that reflect OpenRouter’s position at the forefront of AI infrastructure.
- • Day to day, you will own the end-to-end execution of diverse event formats—including conference activations, curated founder dinners, partner-hosted gatherings, and third-party community events—managing logistics, vendors, budgets, timelines, and on-site delivery. You’ll take rough concepts and turn them into repeatable, scalable experiences by creating lightweight playbooks and templates as patterns emerge, ensuring consistency and efficiency as event volume grows.
- • You’ll collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, and EPD to align events with key business initiatives, tailoring formats and messaging to suit specific audiences ranging from hands-on developers to VP and C-level leaders. This includes coordinating with venues, agencies, VC partners, and ecosystem communities to support co-hosted events and amplify OpenRouter’s presence in the AI ecosystem.
- • In this role, you’ll continuously track event performance, gather insights on what’s working, and help bring structure and improvement to the events motion as it scales. You’ll embrace ambiguity, move quickly, and leverage AI-native workflows and automation to increase efficiency—turning ideas into reality with speed and precision.
- • The role offers significant visibility and impact, allowing you to shape how OpenRouter is perceived in the market through experiential marketing. You’ll work at the heart of the AI infrastructure stack, contributing to a product that enables cost efficiency, scalability, and innovation velocity for enterprises adopting LLMs.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of experience running events in startup, tech, or agency environments
- • Proven experience executing both large-scale conference activations and smaller, curated, high-signal gatherings
- • Strong operator mindset with exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
- • Ability to travel regularly, with frequency dependent on hire location
