• • As a Senior Software Engineer focused on the EverHealth product suite, you will play a crucial role in advancing a technology platform designed to make medical practices more informed, personalized, interactive, and adaptable. EverHealth is utilized by thousands of physicians, enabling them to provide care to millions of patients. Our solutions are flexible, catering to practices of all sizes and specialties, and are built with an open API philosophy to encourage third-party innovation.
• • You will be an integral member of a dynamic software development team, contributing to the evolution of EverHealth. Your primary responsibilities will involve designing, developing, and implementing new features and functionalities. This includes maintaining and enhancing existing systems while also driving innovation to support the growth and success of our solutions and customers.
• • Collaborate closely with a team of seasoned industry experts to architect and build sophisticated software solutions that meet the complex demands of the healthcare technology sector.
• • Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from coding and rigorous testing to seamless deployment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, robust applications.
• • Actively participate in problem-solving and debugging efforts, working collaboratively with team members to maintain and ensure the integrity and stability of our platforms, striving for a bug-free user experience.
• • Conduct thorough code reviews for pull requests, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• • Engage actively in agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, contributing to a continuous improvement mindset within the team.
• • Expand and maintain comprehensive unit test coverage to guarantee the reliability and maintainability of the codebase, reducing the risk of regressions.
• • Contribute to the design and development of enterprise-level software, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• • Develop and maintain multi-threaded applications, ensuring efficient resource utilization and responsiveness.
• • Implement and optimize caching strategies using technologies like Redis to enhance application performance and reduce database load.
• • Work with ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy to interact with relational databases efficiently.
• • Design, develop, and maintain complex stored procedures, functions, and perform performance tuning on relational databases, with a preference for SQL Server and T-SQL.
• • Integrate and utilize Application Performance Monitoring (APM) and Observability tools like New Relic or Sentry to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and application issues.
• • Gain a general understanding of ANSI HIPAA transactions (e.g., 835, 837, 270, 271) and their role in healthcare data exchange.
• • Develop familiarity with Health Information Technology (HIT) concepts and standards.
• • Understand U.S. healthcare regulatory requirements, including MIPS, Meaningful Use, or ONC certification standards, to ensure compliance and product alignment.
