  • • Join Coinbase's dynamic Travel, Meetings & Events team as an Expense Analyst, a pivotal role focused on ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our corporate travel and expense operations.
  • • In this remote-India-based position, you will be instrumental in managing daily expense operations and corporate card programs, serving as the primary administrator for our expense management systems.
  • • This role is perfectly suited for a meticulous, policy-driven professional who thrives on cross-functional collaboration and possesses a deep understanding of expense compliance.
  • • You will be the go-to subject matter expert, guiding employees and ensuring adherence to company policies, thereby contributing directly to financial accuracy and operational excellence.
  • • Expense Compliance & Operations:
  • • Uphold and enforce expense compliance rules with a strong understanding of T&E policies, meticulously reviewing complex or flagged expense reports.
  • • You will be responsible for determining the validity of expenses, ensuring they align with company policy and the specific business context, thereby safeguarding company resources.
  • • Act as a key partner to our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) team, collaborating closely to guarantee the accurate and timely processing of daily expense reports.
  • • Implement rigorous quality control measures by performing spot-checks on audited reports, verifying the consistent application of the T&E policy.
  • • Provide constructive feedback to the BPO team on specific cases, driving continuous improvement in audit processes and accuracy.
  • • Serve as the primary internal point of contact for any disputed expenses, offering clear, policy-backed explanations to employees when reimbursements are rejected or adjusted, maintaining transparency and fairness.
  • • Corporate Card & Systems Administration:
  • • Manage the day-to-day administrative tasks associated with the corporate credit card program (Brex), including the issuance of new cards, adjustment of credit limits, and efficient offboarding of terminated users.
  • • Function as the primary system administrator for the Brex platform, overseeing user settings, configuring workflows, and proactively troubleshooting any technical issues to ensure seamless operation.
  • • Support critical month-end closing procedures by performing thorough reconciliations for both corporate cards and employee expenses, ensuring financial data accuracy.
  • • Data & Training:
  • • Provide essential guidance and training to employees on expense systems and procedures, empowering them to navigate the process effectively.
  • • Manage the dedicated support queue for all expense-related inquiries, ensuring timely and helpful responses to employee questions and concerns.
  • • Leverage Google Sheets to meticulously track spending data, enabling the identification of spending trends, potential policy violations, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • • Contribute to the development of insights that inform financial planning and policy adjustments, driving greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the organization.
