📋 Description
- • The Facilities Engineer will own the physical infrastructure that keeps Crusoe's AI compute environment running at peak performance, ensuring reliable power, cooling, and building systems for mission-critical data center operations in Sparks, NV.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include operating and maintaining electrical distribution (UPS, PDUs, switchgear, generators), HVAC, cooling/chiller plants, and building management systems; leading preventive and corrective maintenance; monitoring facility health via DCIM/BMS; coordinating with construction and capital projects teams; ensuring code compliance (NEC, OSHA, fire/life safety); maintaining documentation; supporting capacity planning; participating in on-call rotation; and championing safety protocols like LOTO.

🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in facilities engineering, data center operations, or critical infrastructure environments
- • Hands-on knowledge of electrical systems (medium and low voltage), UPS/PDU systems, backup generators, and automatic transfer switches (ATS)
- • Experience with mechanical/cooling systems including CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water plants, cooling towers, and precision air systems
- • Familiarity with BMS/DCIM platforms for monitoring and control
- • Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, OSHA)
- • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment documentation
- • Strong troubleshooting skills and sound judgment under pressure
- • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
