- • Conduct field inspections to assess and create comprehensive estimates of damages for first- and third-party material damage auto insurance claims across all severity levels
- • Apply strong estimating fundamentals to audit and validate damage estimates for accuracy and compliance with company standards
- • Interpret and apply policy language from all insurance product types written by the company to determine coverage and liability
- • Negotiate settlements with claimants, vendors, and third parties, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fair claims practices
- • Make final settlement decisions on complex claims involving multiple lines of coverage, documenting all actions and communications thoroughly
- • Evaluate settlement alternatives by analyzing legal, regulatory, and ethical considerations to determine the most appropriate resolution
- • Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers including policyholders, repair shops, and agents
- • Work exclusively within the state of Louisiana, specifically in the Jennings and Lafayette areas, conducting on-site field assessments
- • Utilize prior experience in auto estimate writing in a field setting to efficiently resolve claims with minimal supervision
- • Ensure all claim activities are accurately recorded in company systems to maintain audit readiness and regulatory compliance
- • Adhere to company policies and state-specific insurance regulations while performing all duties
- • Operate independently in the field with accountability for claim outcomes, timelines, and customer satisfaction
- • Maintain a dedicated, private workspace at home with reliable internet (minimum 50 MB download / 5 MB upload) when working remotely
- • Use company-provided technology including laptop, monitors, headset, keyboard, and mouse for claim documentation and communication
🎯 Requirements
- • 2 or more years of experience in auto insurance claims adjusting, preferably in a field setting
- • Proven expertise in auto estimate writing and damage assessment for material damage claims
- • Deep understanding of auto insurance policy language and coverage determinations
- • Ability to negotiate settlements and make independent decisions on complex claims
- • Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
- • Must reside in and work within Louisiana, specifically in the Jennings and Lafayette areas
