- • Embark on a dynamic career as a Field Engineer with GE HealthCare Technologies Inc., a global leader dedicated to improving lives through innovative medical technology and digital solutions. This pivotal role, based in Grand Junction, CO, places you at the forefront of delivering world-class customer service and technical support for GEHC Surgery (OEC Imaging) equipment. You will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless operation of critical medical devices, directly impacting patient care and the efficiency of healthcare facilities.
- • As a Field Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to provide expert, region-based support for a single modality, working collaboratively with experienced engineers to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain sophisticated OEC Imaging systems. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives at the intersection of technical expertise, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency, embodying the qualities of a "full package world-class Field Engineer" – possessing excellent customer skills, a strong team-player mentality, a robust technical background, and meticulous administrative practices.
- • Your day-to-day activities will involve learning and executing on-time and accurate Installations, Preventative Maintenance (PM), Field Maintenance Inspections (FMIs), and Initial System Installations (ISIs). You will progressively develop the skills to handle basic troubleshooting and service repair needs independently, transitioning from working alongside seasoned engineers to confidently managing service calls solo within your first year.
- • Effective communication and collaboration are paramount. You will be expected to foster strong partnerships with teammates, colleagues, and crucially, with customers. Your ability to communicate clearly and empathetically will be key to ensuring swift issue resolution, driving customer satisfaction, and building lasting relationships.
- • Beyond technical repairs, you will play a vital role in enhancing the customer experience by recommending value-added services that optimize their operations and improve business efficiency. This consultative approach positions you as a trusted partner, not just a service provider.
- • Maintaining impeccable administrative practices is essential. This includes diligently updating customer service logs and internal service records, accurately ordering necessary repair parts, and efficiently managing service cycle times. Your organizational skills will directly contribute to the smooth functioning of the service department.
- • You will be trained to utilize the GEHC escalation process effectively, working closely with regional and national support teams to define and implement corrective action plans for complex customer issues, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
- • As a member of the account community for key accounts, you will gain a deep understanding of customer needs and business objectives, further strengthening the partnership between GE HealthCare and its clients.
- • This role also involves active engagement with commercial counterparts. You will be trained to identify potential sales leads, participate in sales opportunities such as contract renewals, and assist in promoting and implementing revenue-generating programs, contributing to the overall growth of the business.
- • A core focus of this position is to deeply understand customer needs and prioritize their satisfaction. By consistently exceeding expectations and demonstrating a commitment to their success, you will build and enhance relationships, becoming a perceived and valued partner in their business operations.
- • Staying informed about competitor activities and market trends is crucial for maintaining GE HealthCare's competitive edge. Your insights will contribute to strategic decision-making and service innovation.
- • This role requires a proactive and adaptable individual who is committed to continuous learning and professional development within the cutting-edge field of medical technology. You will be joining an organization where every voice matters and every contribution helps build a healthier world.
