- • As a Field Service Engineer at RTX's Collins Aerospace division, you will serve as the critical on-site technical expert ensuring the reliability and performance of complex electro-mechanical systems that support aerospace and defense operations worldwide. This role directly impacts mission-critical customer success by maintaining equipment uptime, diagnosing failures, and delivering solutions that align with stringent operational and contractual requirements.
- • You will perform hands-on field service including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of advanced equipment while acting as a trusted advisor to customers and internal teams. With up to 50% travel across customer sites in Oregon, Arizona, and beyond, you will lead service execution, mentor junior technicians, and drive continuous improvement through performance analysis and system optimization.
- • You will join Collins Aerospace’s Mission Systems team, a globally recognized leader in intelligent communications, missionized aircraft and spacecraft systems, and collaborative space solutions. The team supports civilian, military, and government customers in completing their most complex missions, where your technical contributions directly enable mission success and operational resilience.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in electro-mechanical systems, PLC diagnostics, and industrial control systems while developing leadership and customer engagement skills. You will gain exposure to diverse technologies and operational environments, positioning yourself for advancement into senior technical or leadership roles within RTX’s aerospace and defense portfolio.
- • You will build strong customer relationships by providing training, assessing equipment needs, and recommending upgrades or optimizations that enhance performance and longevity. Your ability to translate technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations will be key to ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnership value.
- • You will maintain detailed equipment logs, analyze performance trends, and recommend preventive or corrective actions to improve reliability and reduce downtime. This data-driven approach supports both immediate service quality and long-term product improvement initiatives.
- • You will coordinate logistics, system configurations, and technical provisions to ensure seamless service delivery aligned with contract timelines, scope, and quality expectations. Your organizational skills will be essential in managing multiple workstreams across dynamic field environments.
- • You will uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance while representing RTX in customer-facing interactions. Your professionalism and technical acumen will reinforce the company’s reputation for excellence in aerospace and defense support services.
