📋 Description
- • Serve as a Field Service Engineer for Molecular Devices, a Danaher operating company, providing on-site technical support for high-performance bio-analytical measurement and research instrumentation across the Nordic region.
- • Perform installations, preventative maintenance, and repairs on Molecular Devices’ automated and AI-enabled laboratory instruments used in academia, biotech, pharma, and government research settings.
- • Respond to customer service inquiries and manage assigned service schedules including OQ (Operational Qualification) protocols to ensure compliance and optimal instrument performance.
- • Travel a minimum of 80% of the time, primarily within the Nordic countries, with occasional travel to other locations for training or to support other service teams.
- • Utilize critical thinking and technical expertise to diagnose, analyze, and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults at the assembly level.
- • Deliver timely, high-quality field service that supports customers in accelerating scientific discovery, disease detection, drug development, and therapeutic innovation.
- • Maintain professional relationships with customers by communicating clearly, taking ownership of issues from initiation to resolution, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- • Participate in ongoing product training to become proficient in supporting Molecular Devices’ world-class instrumentation and evolving technologies.
- • Operate independently while adhering to Danaher’s system of continuous improvement and service standards to ensure consistent, world-class customer experiences.
- • Maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record to support required field service travel.
- • Work remotely from the Malmö or Lund area in Sweden, with easy access to an international airport to facilitate travel within the Nordic region and beyond.
- • Collaborate with the EU Central Field Service team and report to the EU Central Field Service Manager to align on service priorities, customer needs, and operational goals.
- • Contribute to a culture of innovation, authenticity, and collaboration that drives tangible impact in life sciences and biotechnology.
- • Support scientific advancements that enhance global health and wellness by enabling researchers to gain deep insights through advanced instrumentation.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 3 years of industry-relevant work experience in a similar Field Service Engineer role
- • Strong mechanical, electronics, and electrical experience with knowledge of assembly-level fault detection and testing
- • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- • Ability to travel a minimum of 80% of the time, primarily within the Nordic region
- • Must reside in or near the Malmö or Lund area in Sweden
- • Customer-focused with strong communication skills and ability to work independently
