  • • As a Field Service Engineer based in Tianjin, you will be the crucial on-site technical expert, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of Agilent's advanced systems and solutions for our valued customers.
  • • Your primary mission will involve providing comprehensive support, encompassing installation, meticulous implementation, proactive maintenance, and expert repair of a diverse range of company and multi-vendor hardware, software, and networking products.
  • • You will be instrumental in the successful deployment of these solutions, ensuring that hardware, software, and network configurations are installed and optimized to meet specific customer requirements and operational needs.
  • • A key aspect of your role will be diagnosing and resolving complex product performance issues, often requiring in-depth technical analysis and creative problem-solving to minimize downtime and maintain customer productivity.
  • • You will conduct regular maintenance services, adhering to best practices and manufacturer guidelines, to prevent potential failures and extend the lifespan of the equipment.
  • • Your commitment to customer satisfaction will be paramount, achieved by providing insightful advice on preventive maintenance strategies and system configurations that can significantly impact product performance and operational efficiency.
  • • You will adopt a proactive approach, anticipating and addressing potential equipment or software issues before they escalate, thereby preventing unplanned interruptions to the customer's critical business operations.
  • • While you will not be involved in the design phase, you will be responsible for delivering fully integrated solutions, which may include the seamless incorporation of peripherals, communication systems, operating systems, and various application software.
  • • You will act as a vital internal technical resource, leveraging your expertise to troubleshoot challenging issues and effectively manage product escalations, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions.
  • • Collaboration will be a cornerstone of your success, working closely with internal Agilent teams, including Support, Sales, Marketing, and Research & Development, to collectively devise and deliver optimal solutions for our customers.
  • • You may be required to develop and share knowledge of third-party products that integrate with Agilent systems, broadening the scope of solutions you can offer.
  • • There is an opportunity to contribute to knowledge sharing within Agilent by delivering internal technical training, maintenance seminars, and workshops tailored for fellow field engineers or directly for customers.
  • • You may also be tasked with training other field engineers, sharing your expertise and best practices to enhance the overall technical capabilities of the field service team.
  • • For select large-volume customers, you might be responsible for on-site equipment calibration, ensuring the highest levels of accuracy and performance.
  • • In certain instances, you may be involved in qualifying leads, assisting the sales team by providing initial technical assessments and insights.
  • • To effectively perform your duties, you must be willing to participate in and meet Agilent-approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements, which are essential for gaining access to customer sites. These requirements may include, but are not limited to, providing proof of identification, relevant certifications, and adhering to customer health and safety protocols.
  • • This role operates on a full-time weekly schedule and offers the flexibility of remote work options within the Tianjin region.
  • • You will be expected to travel approximately 75% of the time to customer locations, requiring adaptability and efficient time management.
  • • The shift for this position is during standard business hours (Day shift).

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline) or equivalent practical experience.
  • • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in field service, technical support, or a similar customer-facing engineering role, with a proven track record of installing, maintaining, and repairing complex technical systems.
  • • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues effectively and efficiently.
  • • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers, explain technical concepts clearly, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • • Willingness and ability to travel up to 75% of the time to customer sites, often on short notice, and to adhere to all customer site access and safety requirements, including credentialing.
