📋 Description

• This part-time AI residency role at Aptura Inc. focuses on improving how frontier AI models understand and reason about corporate finance, specifically within the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) sector, by leveraging real-world investment banking expertise to train and refine AI systems.
• The associate will contribute their FIG deal experience to a structured research project, generating, refining, and evaluating content that reflects professional judgment in banking, insurance, asset management, and fintech transactions, directly shaping AI model performance in capital markets.
• Aptura is a London- and San Francisco-based firm founded by ex-Lazard and Partners Group professionals, dedicated to bridging human financial expertise with artificial intelligence by integrating real-world finance knowledge into AI model training.
• In this role, you will gain rare early exposure to how AI labs develop models, sharpen your ability to articulate complex FIG investment banking concepts in writing, and contribute to cutting-edge AI applications in finance while working remotely with flexible scheduling.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–7 years of experience in FIG investment banking at a bulge bracket or elite boutique
• Associate-level experience in FIG M&A, capital raising, or strategic advisory
• Deep expertise in financial institutions sector dynamics, regulatory capital, and FIG-specific valuation methodologies (DDM, P/BV, P/TBV)
• Strong financial modeling skills and comfort with FIG-specific transaction analysis, fairness opinions, and client-facing materials
• Ability to articulate FIG investment banking judgment clearly and precisely in writing
