📋 Description

• Own the monthly accounting close process across six business units under IFRS, including journal entries, accruals, revenue reclasses, and expense allocations
• Manage multi-entity intercompany allocation model for people costs, software, subcontractors, SDRs, and insurance expenses
• Perform daily cash balance monitoring and bank reconciliations across all entities using Xero
• Execute AP runs, contractor payments, affiliate payments, and set up wire/ACH/EFT transfers
• Administer virtual credit card program: monitor charges, allocate to correct entities, and ensure proper coding
• Prepare and file quarterly GST returns for all entities and manage monthly US sales tax accruals and quarterly analyses (Canada and US)
• Maintain master bank reconciliations and conduct monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare senior lender compliance certificates and audit support packages for both publicly listed companies
• Support quarterly consolidation: prepare consolidated trial balance and related party schedules
• Maintain stock-based compensation schedules and journal entries for SBC expense reporting
• Conduct variance analysis and clear monthly commentary across all business units
• Review aged payables, accrual reversals, and software subscription expenses to support FP&A close
• Proactively identify and implement AI-assisted workflows and automation to improve finance operations efficiency
• Develop and maintain automated workbooks and reporting tools in collaboration with the Finance Team
• Serve as trained resource for payroll processing and commission reconciliations across entities
• Ensure compliance with lender reporting requirements and maintain accurate audit documentation
• Work independently during compressed month-end close windows (last week of month through the 15th of next month)
• Maintain meaningful overlap with Pacific Time Zone business hours during critical close periods
• Operate with an AI-first mindset: prioritize building in-house tools over purchasing third-party solutions
• Demonstrate accounting judgment beyond data entry, owning processes end-to-end with minimal supervision
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational alignment
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail while managing high-volume, time-sensitive financial tasks
• Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through automation, accuracy, and scalability

🎯 Requirements

• 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity or SaaS/tech environment
• Knowledge and understanding of IFRS and accrual-basis accounting
• Comfortable with Xero or comparable cloud accounting platform
• AI-first mindset with proven ability to identify and implement automation opportunities
• Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines without supervision
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
