• • As a Finance Associate, you will be an integral part of our General Ledger Accounting Team, based remotely in Mexico. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, ensuring timely execution of month-end close processes for multiple G-P entities, and actively supporting the integration of new service lines and the enhancement of our financial operations.
• • Your primary responsibility will be the meticulous execution of month-end close activities. This includes, but is not limited to, accurate cash entries, comprehensive bank reconciliations, precise accounting for prepayments and accruals, timely processing of payroll journal entries, and recording depreciation and amortization journals. You will manage these tasks for several assigned entities across the globe, ensuring all deadlines are met with exceptional accuracy.
• • You will play a vital role in ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded in strict compliance with G-P's internal policies and relevant accounting standards, such as US GAAP or Local GAAP, upholding the highest levels of financial governance.
• • A key aspect of your role will involve assisting in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and comprehensive financial reports. This requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of financial reporting requirements.
• • You will be responsible for performing regular balance sheet account reconciliations and conducting in-depth analysis to identify and resolve any discrepancies, ensuring the accuracy of our financial position.
• • Maintaining precise and well-organized supporting working papers for all allocated ledger accounts is essential for audit readiness and internal control.
• • A significant part of this role involves contributing to the standardization and optimization of team processes. Your efforts will ensure that our accounting functions are scalable and can efficiently support G-P's rapid global growth.
• • You will actively participate in the integration of new entities and countries into our accounting scope. This will involve close collaboration with internal regional accounting teams, treasury, accounts payable, and cash collections to understand country-specific financial nuances and ensure a smooth transition of processes into the General Ledger team.
• • You will provide essential support to other members of the broader Finance team on a variety of critical projects. These may include the implementation of new ERP systems, supporting financial statement audits, assisting with transfer pricing calculations, performing payroll reconciliations, and driving process improvement initiatives.
• • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for automation within the GL accounting function is highly encouraged. Implementing changes to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance internal controls will be a continuous focus, ensuring the GL accounting team operates at peak performance.
