  • • Join Globalization Partners (G-P), a pioneering SaaS company revolutionizing global business expansion. Our leading Global Employment Platform™ empowers clients to operate in over 180 countries seamlessly, eliminating the need for complex local entity setups. At G-P, we are driven by a mission to dismantle barriers to international commerce and foster worldwide opportunities.
  • • As a Finance Associate based in Mexico, you will become an integral part of our dynamic Regional Accounting Team. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, ensuring the smooth execution of month-end close processes for multiple G-P entities, and actively supporting the development of new service lines and the enhancement of our financial operations.
  • • You will be instrumental in preparing essential statutory financial reports, tax filings, and other compliance documentation required by local authorities. This will involve close collaboration with external local service providers to ensure all regulatory requirements are met accurately and on time.
  • • A core responsibility will be managing the local country month-end close process. This includes performing detailed financial statement reconciliations, accurately posting journal entries, conducting thorough balance sheet analysis, and analyzing performance variances against budgets, forecasts, and previous periods. Your diligence will ensure the financial health and compliance of our entities.
  • • You will maintain a comprehensive understanding of the accounting differences between our consolidated reporting standards and local statutory accounting requirements, ensuring that all records reflect these nuances accurately.
  • • A key aspect of your role will involve reviewing monthly payroll changes, which are meticulously collated by our financial operations team. You will then be responsible for initiating funding requests from our US and international client hubs to ensure timely payroll disbursement.
  • • You will actively manage the cash flow activities stemming from payroll, expense reimbursements, and other intercompany funding flows, coordinating with both US-based and international G-P client hubs. This requires a keen eye for detail and proactive financial management.
  • • Provide critical support to the Operations and other G-P teams by addressing ad-hoc requests related to client onboarding and offboarding processes. You will also be tasked with resolving process exceptions, such as managing late payroll changes, ensuring operational continuity and client satisfaction.
  • • Play a vital role in the expansion of our global footprint by assisting in the integration of new entities and countries into our operational scope. This involves liaising effectively with local service providers, internal G-P teams, and headquarters to define work scopes, negotiate operational processes, and initiate finance and payroll activities for new markets.
  • • Offer support to other members of the accounting and finance team at headquarters as needed, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. Your willingness to assist will contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance department.
  • • Contribute to the successful setup of new service lines, such as international client operations, by providing financial expertise and support during their development and implementation phases.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a rapidly growing, globally recognized company that is at the forefront of the future of work. You will gain exposure to diverse international accounting practices and contribute to a mission-driven organization that values innovation, flexibility, and individual contribution.
  • • Embrace a high-energy, proactive approach to problem-solving, particularly when navigating process exceptions. Your ability to collaborate effectively within a team and overcome challenges will be key to your success.
  • • The work you do directly impacts the ability of businesses worldwide to expand and create opportunities, aligning with our core promise: Opportunity Made Possible.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • • 2-5 years of experience in progressive accounting or general ledger roles, with a strong understanding of full-cycle accounting.
  • • Essential experience with LATAM accounting principles and tax compliance regulations.
  • • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, and complex formula writing.
  • • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive compensation package.
  • • Eligibility for an annual bonus (for non-sales roles) based on individual and company performance.
  • • Comprehensive benefits package (details may vary based on employment status and location).
  • • Opportunity to work remotely within Mexico.
  • • Professional development and growth opportunities within a leading global company.
