📋 Description

• Own the strategic finance function for a high-growth B2B SaaS company, building a finance team that serves as a market benchmark for automation, AI integration, and strategic impact.
• Lead financial modeling, forecasting, and SaaS metric analysis to inform leadership decisions on growth, efficiency, and resource allocation.
• Drive all fundraising activities including investor reporting, data room management, due diligence, and financing scenario planning for future equity rounds.
• Maintain real-time visibility into cash position, runway, collections, and OPEX across departments to enable agile, data-driven decision-making without bureaucratic delays.
• Design and implement automated, AI-enabled financial workflows that eliminate manual reporting and disconnected systems, aligning internal finance operations with the product’s value proposition.
• Collaborate directly with founders on board communications, investor updates, and strategic planning sessions, translating financial insights into actionable business strategy.
• Scale the finance function by integrating it deeply with the company’s tech stack, ensuring seamless data flow between sales, marketing, customer success, and operations.
• Establish KPI reporting standards that reflect modern SaaS finance practices and are used internally as well as referenced by customers adopting Abacum’s platform.
• Ensure financial discipline across the organization by setting clear spend guidelines, monitoring departmental budgets, and providing transparent financial insights to non-finance leaders.
• Build a finance culture rooted in ownership, radical candor, and continuous improvement — where every team member contributes to system design and execution.
• Champion the use of technology and automation over manual processes, rejecting inefficiency as the default and actively seeking tools that elevate finance from reporting to strategy.
• Serve as a business partner across all functions, enabling leaders to make faster, better-informed decisions through clear, timely, and predictive financial intelligence.
• Maintain compliance and accuracy in financial reporting while scaling rapidly, ensuring internal controls evolve in tandem with company growth.
• Contribute to the company’s mission by embodying customer obsession — ensuring internal finance operations reflect the same innovation, clarity, and efficiency we deliver to clients.

🎯 Requirements

• 6 to 10 years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, BizOps, or finance roles in high-growth companies, ideally B2B SaaS
• Strong financial modeling, forecasting, SaaS metrics, KPI reporting, and board/investor reporting experience
• Strategic judgment: ability to distinguish key insights from noise and translate financial data into actionable business decisions
• High ownership and hands-on execution mindset — preference for building over advising
• Strong systems and AI mindset — rejection of manual processes in favor of automation and tech-enabled solutions
• Experience scaling finance functions in fast-growing, venture-backed tech companies
