📋 Description
- • Lead strategic finance and scenario planning by building financial models to evaluate new initiatives, investment opportunities, and business scenarios, and present actionable recommendations to inform long-term planning and resource allocation.
- • Maintain and enhance Brigit’s three-statement financial model and unit economic models, ensuring accuracy and alignment with company strategy.
- • Partner with functional leaders across the organization to develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts that directly support strategic goals and operational priorities.
- • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for Brigit and its parent company, Upbound, ensuring compliance and timely delivery of financial statements.
- • Deliver clear, data-driven financial insights and unit economics analysis (LTV:CAC, retention, ARPU) to executive leadership to guide strategic decision-making.
- • Monitor cash flow and working capital requirements, collaborating with the Upbound finance team to optimize capital deployment for sustainable growth.
- • Act as a trusted finance partner to cross-functional teams, translating complex financial data into understandable insights that influence team-level decisions and priorities.
- • Design, implement, and scale finance processes to support Brigit’s rapid growth, identifying opportunities to automate manual workflows and improve operational efficiency.
- • Leverage AI and LLMs to enhance financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting capabilities, driving innovation in finance operations.
- • Support the hiring, onboarding, and mentorship of future financial analysts to build a scalable finance function.
- • Collaborate with engineering, product, marketing, and customer success teams to understand the financial impact of their initiatives and align spending with business outcomes.
- • Ensure adherence to GAAP standards in all financial modeling, reporting, and forecasting activities.
- • Maintain proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for financial analysis, presentation, and executive communication.
- • Utilize ERP systems and BI tools to extract, analyze, and visualize financial data for internal stakeholders.
- • Stay current with fintech industry trends, particularly in lending, subscription models, and consumer financial behavior, to inform financial strategy.
- • Simplify complex financial concepts for non-finance audiences, enabling broader organizational understanding of financial performance and constraints.
- • Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment while maintaining accuracy and timeliness in all deliverables.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5-8 years of experience in FP&A or strategic finance at a high-growth consumer-focused company
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- • Strong understanding of FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and GAAP
- • Experience with customer unit economics (LTV:CAC, retention, ARPU) and three-statement modeling (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- • Experience with ERP systems and BI tools
