- • Design and maintain reliable, low-manual-touch integrations across the Finance stack using iPaaS platforms or equivalent tools to connect ERP, EPM, and analytics systems.
- • Own the end-to-end Finance systems roadmap, from strategic design to implementation, ensuring alignment with FP&A and Controller objectives.
- • Partner with Data Engineering to build and maintain BigQuery pipelines that serve as the primary analytics layer for Finance reporting and forecasting.
- • Define and enforce data governance standards including field definitions, department and cost-center mapping, hierarchy taxonomy, and change-control SLAs for financial data integrity.
- • Own the FP&A planning platform end-to-end: design model architecture, configure formula logic, manage dimension hierarchies, and enable independent ownership by FP&A analysts with minimal administrative overhead.
- • Configure EPM systems to support full-year budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-range planning (LRP), and headcount planning with automated data flows and validation rules.
- • Partner with the Controller to identify and automate high-cost manual steps in the monthly financial close, including reconciliations, journal entry support, accrual calculations, and intercompany matching.
- • Build automated pipelines that generate a reliable, fully-loaded P&L forecast each month with minimal manual intervention.
- • Identify high-ROI automation opportunities across FP&A and close cycles—such as variance analysis, anomaly detection, and reconciliation—and design AI/LLM-powered agents to eliminate them.
- • Design human-in-the-loop controls and auditability frameworks to ensure automated financial outputs are trustworthy, transparent, and SOX-compliant.
- • Prototype and implement automation logic using Python for scripting, data validation, and quality-checking AI-generated outputs.
- • Perform data transformation and modeling using BigQuery and dbt to support financial analytics and reporting needs.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Data Engineering, and Legal teams to align automation initiatives with compliance, scalability, and operational requirements.
- • Maintain documentation and training materials for automated systems to ensure knowledge transfer and sustained adoption by Finance teams.
- • Continuously evaluate emerging tools and technologies to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of finance systems and AI workflows.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in Finance and 3+ years in Finance Systems, Business Applications, or FP&A Engineering at a high-growth technology company
- • AI-first mindset with hands-on experience building or deploying AI/LLM-powered automation in Finance or operations contexts
- • Proficiency in Python for scripting, prototyping automation logic, and quality-checking AI-generated outputs
- • Deep hands-on experience with at least one modern EPM platform including data model design, formula logic, and integration configuration
- • Working knowledge of NetSuite (or equivalent ERP) including chart of accounts, dimensions, reporting structures, and API/integration patterns
- • Demonstrated ownership of outcomes rather than tickets in finance systems or automation initiatives
