• • Distro, Inc. is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will provide critical financial visibility across our core operations, encompassing sales, warehousing, distribution logistics, and merchandising activities within the dry food product distribution sector. You will be instrumental in transforming raw operational data into actionable financial insights, driving profitability and enhancing operational efficiency throughout the entire distribution lifecycle.
• • As a Financial Analyst, your primary responsibility will be the meticulous preparation, maintenance, and in-depth analysis of weekly and monthly financial reports. These reports will cover a broad spectrum, including sales performance metrics, gross margins, operating expenses, intricate logistics costs, and crucial inventory valuations. Your insights will empower leadership to make informed strategic decisions.
• • You will conduct comprehensive profitability analyses, dissecting performance by customer, product category, and geographical region. This granular approach will uncover opportunities for margin enhancement and strategic focus.
• • A key aspect of your role will involve vigilant monitoring of inventory levels, turnover rates, identifying discrepancies, assessing aging stock, tracking shrinkage, and ensuring the accuracy of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). This oversight is vital for supporting both warehouse operations and the accounting department, ensuring financial integrity and operational alignment.
• • The Financial Analyst will play a significant role in the budgeting and forecasting processes. This includes developing financial models, conducting scenario planning to assess potential outcomes, and performing detailed variance analysis to understand deviations from plan and identify root causes.
• • You will be tasked with evaluating pricing strategies, promotional effectiveness, and merchandising costs. Your analysis will be crucial in optimizing pricing structures and promotional investments to maximize profitability without compromising market competitiveness.
• • A core function of this position is the collection, cleaning, and rigorous analysis of data sourced from sales representatives, warehouse operations, and back-office teams. The goal is to synthesize this information into clear, data-driven insights that can be readily translated into operational improvements and strategic recommendations.
• • You will actively support the month-end close processes, contributing to essential reconciliations and the preparation of comprehensive management reports that provide a clear financial picture of the company's performance.
• • The creation and maintenance of insightful dashboards and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for leadership will be a key deliverable, offering a real-time view of business health and progress towards strategic objectives.
• • A proactive approach to identifying operational inefficiencies across sales, warehousing, and distribution is expected. You will be responsible for recommending and implementing improvements that lead to cost savings and enhanced productivity.
• • This role demands strong collaboration skills. You will work closely with Sales, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, and Accounting departments, fostering a cohesive approach to financial management and operational excellence.
• • Finally, you will be expected to perform ad hoc financial and operational analyses as requested by management, demonstrating flexibility and a readiness to tackle diverse analytical challenges.
• • This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in South America, with a standard Monday to Friday schedule from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST.
