- • The Financial Analyst II (Remote) role at Washington University in St. Louis is critical to ensuring the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the Medical Oncology department, directly supporting mission-driven healthcare initiatives through accurate budgeting, reporting, and compliance.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, conducting revenue and cost analyses, updating forecasts, preparing contracts, managing GSA and assessment reporting, maintaining audit-ready financial records, and serving as a liaison to accounting departments to resolve issues and support year-end processes.
- • The role operates within the Medical Oncology department of a prestigious academic medical center, contributing to the financial stewardship of research and clinical programs at a leading research university committed to innovation, education, and patient care.
- • In this position, the analyst will develop advanced financial analysis skills, gain expertise in healthcare and academic finance systems, strengthen stakeholder communication abilities, and contribute to strategic financial planning that supports both clinical and research missions.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- • Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue reconciliation
- • Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems
- • Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills
