Full Job Description

đź“‹ Description

  • • Zoe is embarking on a transformative journey, evolving its finance function from traditional reporting into a data-driven strategic powerhouse. We are moving away from outdated, manual spreadsheets towards a modern, warehouse-first approach. Operating at the critical intersection of Financial Planning and Data Analytics, we leverage a cutting-edge tech stack including BigQuery, Python, and Hex to uncover the 'why' behind our financial data. If you are passionate about finance serving as a strategic partner rather than merely a reporting center, you will find a welcoming and dynamic environment here.
  • • As our new Financial Analytics Associate, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between raw data and impactful commercial decisions. This is not a role focused on maintaining the status quo; it's about fundamentally upgrading our capabilities. You will be instrumental in shifting our focus from manual, time-consuming tasks to performing deep statistical analysis. Your core mission will be to develop and implement scalable, self-serve financial models that empower the business to operate with agility, while you concentrate on delivering high-impact commentary that shapes our strategic direction.
  • • In this role, you will be responsible for a range of critical activities designed to drive financial performance and strategic insight. This includes analyzing company spend patterns to identify efficiencies and areas for optimization. You will evaluate the performance of various marketing and operational channels, providing data-backed recommendations for improvement. A key responsibility will be setting Cost Per Acquisition (CPA) targets that are not only ambitious but also firmly aligned with our overarching financial objectives and long-term vision.
  • • You will support the entire forecasting process, utilizing warehouse data and advanced statistical trends to create more accurate and reliable financial projections. This involves working closely with the Financial Control team to ensure that budget setting is a seamless, integrated process, directly feeding into our strategic reporting framework. By fostering strong collaborations across Operations and Marketing departments, you will proactively identify opportunities to enhance unit economics and maximize overall business performance.
  • • A significant aspect of your role will be to act as the 'voice' for the data. This means delivering clear, concise, and actionable commentary that effectively communicates complex financial insights to the leadership team, enabling informed decision-making. You will translate intricate data sets into understandable narratives that highlight key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • • You will contribute to the development of robust financial models that can scale with the business. This involves leveraging modern analytical tools to automate processes, reduce manual intervention, and increase the efficiency of financial analysis. Your work will directly impact the speed and accuracy with which we can respond to market dynamics and business challenges.
  • • The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets and possess a strong understanding of financial principles. You will be expected to challenge existing processes and propose innovative solutions that align with our data-first philosophy. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of financial analytics within a rapidly growing company, making a tangible impact on business strategy and outcomes.
  • • You will be a key player in our transition to a data-driven culture, championing best practices in financial analysis and reporting. Your insights will guide strategic planning, investment decisions, and performance management across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to grow their career in a forward-thinking finance team.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Newly Qualified (or up to 1 year PQE) with ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent qualification.
  • • Proficiency in or strong aptitude for learning SQL, Python, and Hex for data analysis and automation.
  • • Experience or strong understanding of D2C business models, unit economics, CPA, LTV, churn, and cohort analysis.
  • • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and financial models (P&L, Cash Flow).

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Remote-first working environment.
  • • Opportunity to work with a modern tech stack (BigQuery, Python, Hex).
  • • Be part of a finance function transitioning to a data-driven strategic powerhouse.
