• • Higgsfield AI, a trailblazer in synthetic media and the leading video AI company revolutionizing social media content, is embarking on an exciting new chapter of hypergrowth. Having achieved an impressive $200 million in sales run-rate within just nine months of launch, and recently securing a substantial $130 million Series A funding round, we are poised for significant expansion. To fuel this rapid ascent, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller to establish and lead our global accounting function. This pivotal role reports directly to the VP of Finance and will inherit a solid accounting foundation, currently supported by one full-time accountant and an external accounting firm. The core mandate of this position is to scale our accounting team and capabilities to match our international growth trajectory. While this role is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, its scope is inherently global.
• • As the Financial Controller, you will be the ultimate owner of all accounting operations and financial reporting across our U.S. and international entities. This includes ensuring strict adherence to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and all relevant local accounting standards, maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our financial statements.
• • You will spearhead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. This involves meticulously overseeing Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, managing complex revenue accounting scenarios, and implementing robust reconciliation processes. A key aspect of this role will be to design and implement scalable processes and internal controls that can effectively manage the rapidly increasing transaction volumes inherent in a hypergrowth environment.
• • A significant responsibility will be the oversight of our global payout operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in payments to creators and partners worldwide. You will also be responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance, including U.S. federal and state taxes, as well as international tax obligations such as Sales Tax and Value Added Tax (VAT). Furthermore, you will ensure compliance with cross-border statutory reporting requirements in all jurisdictions where Higgsfield AI operates.
• • This role extends to managing critical corporate functions such as equity administration, including the coordination of 409A valuations. You will also oversee the company's insurance policies, ensuring adequate coverage, and contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide risk management frameworks to safeguard our assets and operations.
• • A strategic initiative for this role will be leading the design and implementation of a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Whether it's optimizing our current QuickBooks setup or migrating to a more robust solution like NetSuite, your expertise will be crucial in selecting, implementing, and integrating the chosen system. This includes building seamless, end-to-end financial data flows that connect our billing systems, payout mechanisms, and internal data analytics platforms, providing a single source of truth for financial information.
• • You will play a key role in preparing the company for external audits, working closely with auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient process. Additionally, you will contribute to the design and implementation of transfer pricing strategies to optimize our global tax structure and manage intercompany transactions effectively. The consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities will also fall under your purview, requiring a deep understanding of consolidation principles and practices.
