• • As the Financial Controller at Gorilla, you will be instrumental in establishing and fortifying the financial infrastructure that underpins our rapid growth. This pivotal role demands a meticulous approach to financial reporting, operational accuracy, and structural integrity across our entire group. You will be a key architect in evolving our finance function from its early-stage agility to a more mature, scalable, and robust framework, all while ensuring we maintain the flexibility and speed essential for a dynamic international SaaS business.
• • This is a comprehensive, hands-on position within a compact and collaborative finance team of three. You will operate in close partnership with the CFO, leveraging your expertise to influence financial decision-making and directly contribute to the company's expansion. Your responsibilities will span the entire financial lifecycle, ensuring precision, compliance, and strategic insight.
• • **Financial Reporting & Quality Ownership:**
• • You will own the complete financial reporting cycle, encompassing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting obligations. This includes the preparation and thorough review of management accounts, balance sheets, and P&L statements, ensuring they are not only accurate but also provide actionable insights.
• • A core part of your role will be to guarantee that all financial transactions are meticulously recorded, accurately categorized, and supported by comprehensive and clear documentation, establishing a strong audit trail.
• • You will lead the annual audit process, serving as the primary liaison with our external auditors. This involves coordinating information, addressing queries, and ensuring a smooth and efficient audit experience.
• • A critical objective is to maintain and elevate consistent standards of accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity across all entities within the Gorilla group.
• • **Building Scalable Finance Processes:**
• • You will be tasked with strengthening our internal controls, refining approval workflows, and enhancing our audit trails to ensure robust financial governance.
• • A key focus will be on improving the clarity, defining ownership, and enhancing the documentation of all finance processes, making them more transparent and efficient.
• • You will play a crucial role in gradually reducing our reliance on external accounting partners by increasing internal ownership and expertise within the finance team.
• • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, leveraging automation and optimizing the use of our finance systems to drive efficiency and accuracy.
• • **Cash Management, Risk & Compliance:**
• • You will own the cash flow forecasting process, providing clear and reliable visibility into our liquidity and overall cash position. This is vital for strategic planning and operational stability.
• • Manage the end-to-end cash cycle, including invoicing, collections, payment processing, and optimizing working capital to ensure healthy cash flow.
• • Oversee critical compliance areas such as corporate tax, VAT/sales tax, payroll accounting, and statutory filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• • Proactively monitor and manage financial and regulatory risks across multiple countries and jurisdictions, ensuring Gorilla remains compliant and protected.
• • **Collaboration & Impact:**
• • Foster a close working relationship with the CFO, contributing to both operational and strategic finance discussions and initiatives.
• • Collaborate effectively with non-finance teams across the business, enhancing their financial literacy and empowering them to make better-informed decisions.
