📋 Description

• As a Financial Controller at Goodstack, you will play a pivotal role in scaling financial processes, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic financial insights to support the company’s mission of integrating social impact into global business operations.
• You will manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations including payroll, treasury, debtors, payables, revenue recognition, and cash flow management, while delivering monthly management accounts and analyzing forecast variances.
• You will join a fast-growing, mission-driven SaaS startup backed by General Catalyst, working alongside a diverse, international team of 20+ nationalities across 5 continents, all committed to building a world where doing good is embedded in everyday business.
• In this role, you will develop expertise in scaling financial systems in a high-growth environment, gain experience with international tax and audit compliance, and contribute to key financial projects that support fundraising and operational excellence.

🎯 Requirements

• Full qualification as an accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in a senior accounting position.
• Demonstrable experience in a senior finance role within a start-up or scale-up environment.
• Hands-on experience with Xero, Google Sheets, Payhawk, and Hubspot (preferred).
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate financial reporting in a fast-moving environment.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders clearly and confidently.
• Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally with teams such as Product and Engineering to design and improve financial processes.
