- • Are you a seasoned finance professional with a passion for building robust accounting infrastructures within dynamic, high-growth environments? Collectly Inc., a pioneering healthcare tech startup at the vanguard of AI-driven innovation, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our San Francisco-based team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of a company that is revolutionizing the U.S. healthcare market through cutting-edge artificial intelligence. We are not just another SaaS company; we are at the forefront of the AI boom, transforming revenue cycle management (RCM) by automating workflows, streamlining complex billing processes, and creating unparalleled financial experiences for both healthcare providers and patients.
- • As our Financial Controller, you will be instrumental in building and scaling the accounting foundation for a modern B2B SaaS business during its critical growth phase. This is a true builder role, demanding a unique blend of public accounting rigor, strategic foresight, and the creative problem-solving skills necessary to design and implement modern, scalable financial systems. You will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, and establishing best practices that will support our rapid expansion.
- • Your responsibilities will extend across the full spectrum of accounting functions. This includes managing the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP, and developing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance. You will be tasked with managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger accounting, and financial analysis. Furthermore, you will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, providing critical insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and product development, to provide financial guidance and support. You will be responsible for developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with the company's growth objectives and regulatory requirements. This includes staying abreast of evolving accounting standards and industry best practices, particularly within the SaaS and healthcare technology sectors.
- • The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of SaaS metrics and financial modeling, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders. You will be a key player in preparing for potential future audits and ensuring the company is audit-ready at all times. This role offers the chance to significantly impact Collectly's financial health and operational efficiency, contributing directly to our mission of empowering healthcare providers to focus on delivering exceptional care by simplifying their billing and elevating the patient financial experience.
- • We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment, is proactive, and possesses exceptional analytical and communication skills. You will have the autonomy to shape processes and systems, making this an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance leader. If you are ready to build, innovate, and make a tangible difference in the healthcare industry, we encourage you to apply. This hybrid role requires candidates to be located in the San Francisco Bay Area, enabling seamless collaboration and integration within our vibrant team.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred.
- • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, with a significant portion in public accounting (Big 4 or similar) and/or in a financial leadership role within a B2B SaaS company.
- • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
- • Experience with SaaS metrics, revenue recognition (ASC 606), and financial modeling.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary and equity package.
- • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
- • Generous paid time off and holidays.
- • Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative startup environment with a mission-driven team.
