• • As a Financial Crimes Investigations Senior Associate at DraftKings Inc., you will play a pivotal role in upholding the company's commitment to the highest standards of integrity and regulatory compliance. This position is crucial for safeguarding our platform against illicit financial activities, including money laundering, fraud, and other financial crimes.
• • Your primary responsibility will involve the meticulous analysis of transaction monitoring alerts. You will be tasked with identifying and investigating suspicious patterns and activities that deviate from normal customer behavior, requiring a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of evolving risk typologies.
• • Upon thorough investigation, you will recommend potential suspicious activity to Financial Crimes Management for escalation, including the filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) or Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) where applicable, ensuring compliance with all regulatory reporting obligations.
• • A significant part of your role will include conducting Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews. This will involve leveraging a variety of internal tools, conducting extensive public domain research, and utilizing external databases to gather comprehensive information on customers and their activities.
• • You will be instrumental in uncovering and analyzing connections between individuals or entities engaged in suspicious activities. This includes identifying coordinated fraud schemes, organized criminal rings, and other sophisticated illicit operations that could pose a threat to the company.
• • The role requires proactive collaboration with various internal stakeholders, including but not limited to, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Customer Support teams. This partnership is essential to ensure the consistent application and enforcement of our anti-money laundering (AML) and fraud prevention policies across the organization.
• • You will be expected to maintain a high level of awareness regarding the latest criminal typologies, emerging regulatory changes, and evolving industry best practices within the financial crimes and fraud prevention landscape. This continuous learning is vital to staying ahead of sophisticated threats.
• • Timely and accurate documentation of all investigations, findings, and recommendations is a critical component of this role. You will be responsible for maintaining detailed records and reports of suspicious transactions and individuals, ensuring auditability and compliance.
