📋 Description

• Contract Financial Modeler role focused on building detailed financial models from scratch in Excel to train AI systems that think like real financial professionals.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include building financial models from blank spreadsheets across use cases such as LBO, 3-statement, credit, and project finance; reviewing and debugging models built by others; identifying incorrect assumptions and broken logic; analyzing relationships between cash flow, debt, and returns; and clearly explaining financial logic and decision-making processes.
• The role is with Bullpen Talent, Inc., partnering with a U.S.-based technology company developing advanced AI systems for financial modeling and decision-making, emphasizing hands-on Excel work over domain-specific experience.
• The position offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in end-to-end financial modeling, improve model accuracy and transparency, contribute to AI training in financial reasoning, and work flexibly (15–40 hours/week) in an asynchronous, remote environment while refining communication and analytical skills in high-stakes financial modeling contexts.

🎯 Requirements

• 2–10 years of experience in finance roles with heavy exposure to financial modeling
• Proven ability to build financial models from a blank spreadsheet in Excel without relying on templates
• Experience building end-to-end models such as LBO, 3-statement, credit, or project finance models
• Strong understanding of how financial models are used in real-world decision-making
• High attention to detail and commitment to model accuracy
• Strong communication skills in English to clearly explain modeling logic and assumptions
