- • As a Financial Services Faculty member at Kaplan, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of financial professionals by delivering engaging, expert-led virtual instruction that prepares students for industry certification and career success.
- • Your teaching will directly impact student outcomes by translating complex financial concepts into accessible, practical knowledge, reinforcing Kaplan’s reputation as a trusted leader in financial education and professional development.
- • Deliver live, virtual instruction using pre-prepared lesson plans and syllabi across core financial services domains such as securities licensing, insurance, and continuing education, ensuring alignment with Kaplan’s curriculum standards and regulatory requirements.
- • Foster an inclusive and interactive learning environment by adapting teaching methods to diverse student learning styles, utilizing digital whiteboards, Zoom/MS Teams, and other virtual classroom tools to maintain engagement and comprehension.
- • Provide personalized mentorship and academic support to students, offering timely feedback and guidance to help them overcome challenges and achieve certification goals.
- • Maintain consistent communication with product line management and operations teams to stay current on scheduling, curriculum updates, and class assignments, ensuring seamless course delivery.
- • Serve as a knowledgeable ambassador for Kaplan’s brand and the financial services industry, bringing real-world expertise into the classroom to enrich student learning with practical insights and current market practices.
- • Uphold professional standards by demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and strong time management, particularly during daytime weekday hours when classes are scheduled.

- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in financial services education while refining your virtual teaching techniques, gaining experience in curriculum delivery, student assessment, and educational technology integration.
- • You will have the opportunity to contribute to curriculum improvement initiatives and potentially mentor new faculty, positioning yourself as a thought leader within Kaplan’s educator community.
🎯 Requirements
- • 2+ years of direct experience in the financial services industry, with practical knowledge in areas such as securities, insurance, banking, or investment advisory.
- • Working knowledge of, or successful completion of, one or more FINRA or state licensing exams including SIE, Series 6, 7, 63, 65, 66, 24, or 26; experience as a Principal at a FINRA member firm is strongly preferred.
- • Proficiency in at least one line of authority: Life and Health Licensing, Property and Casualty Licensing, Insurance Continuing Education, Securities Qualification (Registered Representative or Principal level).
- • Demonstrated ability to use virtual classroom platforms (Zoom, MS Teams), LMS systems, and digital whiteboards effectively for instruction and student engagement.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to explain complex financial topics clearly and adaptively to varied learner needs.
- • Strong organizational and time management abilities, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining a professional virtual teaching environment with a stable, wired internet connection preferred.
