- • The Fire Sprinkler Designer I role at VSC Fire & Security, Inc. is critical to delivering safe, code-compliant fire protection systems that protect lives and property across the Southeast. This position ensures that fire suppression systems are accurately designed, coordinated, and submitted in accordance with national and local standards, directly supporting the company’s mission of providing integrated fire protection, life safety, and security solutions.
- • Day to day, the designer will create and coordinate fire protection drawings, perform hydraulic and seismic brace calculations, generate material and equipment schedules, and produce shop lists for fabrication using AutoCAD or SprinkCAD. They will review architectural, mechanical, and structural drawings, conduct site surveys, ensure compliance with NFPA and building codes, integrate fire suppression systems with other mechanical trades, and maintain risk management and safety protocols on job sites.

🎯 Requirements
- • One to three years of experience with AutoCAD or SprinkCAD, or a background in mathematics
- • NICET Level I or II certification
- • Ability to review architectural, mechanical, site, and structural drawings, conduct site surveys, and research essential information for structural and mechanical elements
- • Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills
- • Ability to pass background checks and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for company vehicle use
- • Desirable (but not required): Associate or bachelor’s degree in drafting (AutoCAD) or equivalent experience
