- • This Foreclosure Specialist III role is critical to ensuring that foreclosure processes remain compliant with investor guidelines and regulatory requirements, protecting M&T Bank’s financial and legal interests in mortgaged properties.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring foreclosure progress through reporting systems, serving as the primary escalation point for team members and external counsel, conducting biweekly loan reviews, managing litigation-related files, approving attorney fees, and ensuring adherence to state, federal, and investor timelines.
- • The role operates within M&T Bank’s Default Servicing team, collaborating with CAM management, foreclosure attorneys, and internal departments to maintain procedural accuracy and drive process improvements.
- • The incumbent will develop deep expertise in foreclosure timelines, litigation management, and investor compliance, while gaining experience in procedure development, cross-functional coordination, and regulatory adherence—positioning them for advancement in mortgage servicing or risk management roles.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Default Servicing-related fields such as Collections, REO, or Loss Mitigation
- • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel)
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills
- • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- • Preferred: 3+ years of Default Servicing experience, proven leadership ability, and familiarity with bank systems and mortgage products
