• As an Engineering Manager for AI Solutions at A.Team, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of Assemble, our groundbreaking AI platform. This pivotal role demands a leader who can own the technical roadmap and execution, ensuring the development of a scalable, robust, and secure infrastructure that underpins sophisticated AI solutions for Fortune 500 clients. Your primary focus will be on leading and nurturing our internal engineering team, driving the continuous evolution and unwavering stability of the Assemble platform. You will collaborate closely with a diverse array of cross-functional stakeholders, meticulously prioritizing platform capabilities, guiding a talented team of engineers and data scientists, and fortifying the technical foundation that empowers our enterprise-grade AI solutions.
• You will be the driving force behind Platform Development and Roadmap initiatives. This involves charting the technical course for Assemble, adeptly balancing the introduction of innovative new capabilities with the critical need for platform stability. You will spearhead the development of core platform components, encompassing intricate data pipelines, sophisticated knowledge management systems, advanced agent orchestration frameworks, and seamless enterprise integrations. Your architectural decisions, made in consultation with data scientists, machine learning experts, and other subject matter authorities, will be crucial in harmonizing immediate delivery imperatives with long-term scalability objectives. Ensuring the platform's reliability, security, and performance at an enterprise scale will be a paramount responsibility.
• Leading the Engineering Team is a central tenet of this role. You will manage a dedicated team of engineers and data scientists who are at the forefront of building Assemble. This includes conducting regular one-on-one meetings, administering performance reviews, and fostering robust career development conversations. Your ability to make informed hiring decisions and actively participate in technical interviews will be key to expanding and strengthening the team. Cultivating a high-trust, high-performance engineering culture is essential, as is mentoring and professionally growing team members, both technically and personally.
• Driving Engineering Excellence will be a continuous endeavor. You will establish and rigorously enforce engineering standards, best-in-class development practices, and uncompromising code quality. Leading technical design reviews and engaging in in-depth architecture discussions will ensure that our technical solutions are sound and forward-thinking. Building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, comprehensive testing frameworks, and efficient developer tooling will streamline our development processes and enhance productivity.
• Coordinating Cross-Functionally is vital for success. You will partner closely with the Product team to prioritize platform capabilities, ensuring they align with both client needs and overarching business objectives. You will collaborate with AI Architects to refine system design and technical direction, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach. Working hand-in-hand with delivery teams will provide invaluable insights into their platform requirements and pain points, enabling you to address them proactively. Furthermore, you will coordinate with Security Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless and secure enterprise deployments.
• Communicating platform status, the evolving roadmap, and any critical tradeoffs to leadership will be a regular and important part of your responsibilities, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization.
• The success of this role is measured by the growth of Assemble's platform capabilities to meet evolving client and delivery team needs, the successful deployment of Assemble features across multiple clients, and the maintenance of high reliability and performance as the platform scales. A productive, engaged, and growing engineering team, effective management of technical debt without impeding delivery, and strong trust from cross-functional partners in engineering's ability to deliver on commitments are all indicators of success.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a minimum of 2 years in an engineering management capacity.
• Strong technical foundation in Python and Typescript, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern software architecture principles.
• Proven experience in building and maintaining production-grade platforms or infrastructure systems.
• Familiarity with AI/ML systems, Large Language Models (LLMs), data pipelines, or related technologies.
• Demonstrated track record of shipping high-quality software while ensuring system stability and reliability.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in balancing competing priorities and making informed trade-offs.
• Comfort and adaptability in fast-paced, evolving environments.
