Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As an Engineering Manager for the Core Platform at A.Team, you will be at the forefront of building and scaling the foundational technology that powers our revolutionary AI Systems Integrator platform, Assemble. This is a pivotal role where you will own the technical roadmap and execution for the core platform capabilities, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and efficient enough to support our enterprise-grade deployments for Fortune 500 CPG and Retail brands.
- • Your primary responsibility will be to lead the Platform Engineering team, driving engineering excellence and establishing the standards and best practices that underpin all of A.Team's product development. You will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction, making critical architecture decisions, and ensuring the platform's long-term viability while meeting immediate delivery needs.
- • You will architect and build scalable infrastructure components, including sophisticated data pipelines essential for AI model training and inference, robust knowledge management systems to organize and access vast amounts of information, efficient agent orchestration mechanisms to manage complex AI workflows, and seamless enterprise integrations to connect Assemble with existing client systems.
- • A key aspect of this role involves fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for establishing and enforcing high engineering standards, development practices, and code quality across the organization. This includes leading technical design reviews, participating in architecture discussions, and actively working to reduce technical debt without compromising delivery velocity.
- • You will also play a crucial role in building and nurturing an AI-native engineering team. This involves not only managing and developing engineers but also championing the integration of AI into our own engineering workflows and practices, from code generation assistance to automated testing and deployment.
- • The scope of your work will extend to building and refining the essential developer tooling that empowers our delivery teams. This includes developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, implementing comprehensive testing frameworks, and enhancing developer productivity through optimized tooling.
- • Beyond technical leadership, you will be a people manager, responsible for leading, mentoring, and growing a team of talented platform engineers. This involves conducting regular one-on-one meetings, providing constructive feedback, managing performance reviews, and actively supporting the career development and growth of each team member.
- • You will also be a key player in talent acquisition, making critical hiring decisions and participating actively in technical interviews to ensure we attract and retain top-tier engineering talent.
- • Building a high-trust, high-performance engineering culture is paramount. You will foster an environment where collaboration, innovation, and accountability thrive, enabling the team to achieve ambitious goals.
- • Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical solutions, with Architecture to ensure alignment with the overall system design, and with client-facing engineering teams to understand their needs and ensure the platform effectively supports their efforts.
- • Success in this role means measurably accelerating the delivery team's velocity through enhanced platform capabilities. It also means seeing tangible improvements in engineering and AI standards and practices across the organization, and cultivating an engineering team that is not only productive and engaged but also continuously growing in skill and capability.
- • Ultimately, you will be the technical leader that others look to for guidance on 'how we build' at A.Team, setting the vision and direction for our core platform's evolution and ensuring it remains the bedrock of our success as we scale.
🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum of 8 years of overall software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a dedicated engineering management role.
- • Strong technical foundation with proven experience in Python, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and building distributed systems.
- • Demonstrated experience in building scalable platforms, developer tools, or internal infrastructure, with a deep understanding of modern software architecture, CI/CD principles, and engineering best practices.
- • Experience establishing and implementing AI best practices within engineering workflows and product development.
- • Proven ability to thrive and deliver high-quality software in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, with a track record of improving engineering velocity.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive salary and equity package.
- • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
- • Generous paid time off and holidays.
- • Remote-first work environment with flexibility.
- • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
