- • As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer at Concentrate AI, you will serve as a critical bridge between customer needs and product innovation, directly impacting how enterprises adopt and optimize large language model (LLM) infrastructure through a unified API platform. Your work will ensure customers achieve reliable, cost-effective, and scalable AI deployments while shaping the evolution of the product based on real-world field insights.
- • You will engage deeply with customers to diagnose and resolve complex LLM deployment challenges, translating technical problems into actionable product improvements that enhance platform reliability, performance, and cost efficiency across diverse AI providers including OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and open-source models.
- • Day to day, you will debug end-to-end issues spanning application logic, AI API integrations, cloud infrastructure, and model performance; build internal tools and product features based on field-observed patterns; optimize multi-provider routing for latency, reliability, and token cost; help customers architect for failover, rate limit management, and provider redundancy; and collaborate closely with founders on technical strategy and product direction.
- • You will work within a remote-first, early-stage AI startup backed by top-tier VCs, where ownership, pragmatism, and cross-functional impact are highly valued. The team operates with high autonomy and a bias toward action, enabling you to influence both customer outcomes and product roadmap simultaneously.
- • This role offers accelerated growth in AI infrastructure engineering, with opportunities to develop deep expertise in LLM gateway design, AI observability, cost optimization, and enterprise AI compliance—positioning you to evolve into broader technical leadership or architect roles as the company scales.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong technical ability with proven experience debugging complex backend systems, AI APIs, or distributed infrastructure in production environments
- • Hands-on experience working with LLM APIs, model routing, AI spend management, or related AI infrastructure technologies
- • Proficiency in Python, TypeScript/Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or CI/CD workflows
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort engaging directly with customers and navigating ambiguous, fast-moving situations
- • Startup or high-ownership environment experience, demonstrating initiative, adaptability, and a bias toward action
