📋 Description
- • As a Sr. Engineer, Cloud Platforms & Operations at NextGen Healthcare, Inc., you will be at the forefront of designing, building, and automating robust and scalable cloud platforms that are critical to delivering our enterprise and healthcare applications. This role is instrumental in bridging the gap between infrastructure and software engineering, ensuring our cloud services and deployment pipelines are not only efficient but also highly resilient and performant, embodying the core principles of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- • You will take ownership of engineering and automating the entire lifecycle of cloud-native infrastructure and applications, from provisioning and deployment to configuration management. This includes developing and maintaining sophisticated internal tools and platform services that are designed to streamline complex CI/CD workflows and enhance overall infrastructure operations, making them more agile and reliable.
- • A key aspect of your role will be to drive continuous improvements across the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC). Your focus will be on enhancing the scalability, performance, and availability of our cloud-hosted services, ensuring they can meet the demands of a rapidly evolving healthcare technology landscape.
- • You will act as a subject matter expert, providing invaluable guidance and consultation to both engineering and operations teams. Your expertise will be sought after for best practices in CloudOps, DevOps, and the implementation of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) strategies, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
- • Collaboration is central to this position. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across Information Systems (IS) and product development to architect, implement, and maintain secure, compliant, and highly reliable cloud environments. This will involve leveraging modern SRE and observability principles to proactively identify and address potential issues.
- • You will be responsible for implementing advanced automated monitoring, alerting, and self-healing capabilities. The goal is to minimize system downtime, reduce Mean Time To Recovery (MTTR), and ultimately enhance the client experience by ensuring seamless access to our critical healthcare applications.
- • In times of incident, you will play a crucial role in supporting incident response efforts, conducting thorough root cause analysis (RCA), and ensuring operational readiness for all critical production services. This proactive approach to incident management is vital for maintaining service integrity.
- • A significant part of your contribution will involve comprehensive documentation of processes, platforms, and tooling. You will also be expected to deliver knowledge-sharing sessions and develop onboarding resources to empower internal teams and facilitate the adoption of best practices across the organization.
- • You will contribute to the completion of team objectives and may be tasked with leading projects or specific processes within your area of expertise. Your influence will extend to shaping long-term goals and strategies through your technical acumen and effective cross-functional collaboration, impacting departmental results significantly.
- • This role requires a proactive mindset, a deep understanding of cloud technologies, and a passion for automation and operational excellence. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of NextGen Healthcare's cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is robust, secure, and capable of supporting the company's mission to transform healthcare through technology.
