- • Partner with Vantage’s most strategic and technically complex customers to ensure successful adoption and long-term value through hands-on implementation, architecture design, and problem-solving during onboarding and expansion phases.
- • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers’ engineering, FinOps, and finance stakeholders by understanding their cloud environments and cost-management goals.
- • Design and implement scalable cloud cost allocation and tagging strategies across multi-cloud environments, including AWS, GCP, and Azure, as well as Kubernetes-based infrastructures.
- • Support technical onboarding for high-complexity accounts, collaborating closely with Customer Success teams on advanced use cases and custom implementation needs.
- • Debug and resolve data ingestion, tagging, and reporting issues in close coordination with Support and Engineering teams to ensure accurate cost visibility.
- • Build custom solutions, queries, and automated workflows using Vantage’s APIs, data exports, and third-party integrations to unblock customer-specific technical challenges.
- • Surface recurring customer pain points, edge cases, and feature requests directly to Product and Engineering teams to influence product roadmap and internal tooling improvements.
- • Contribute to the development of repeatable implementation patterns, documentation, and internal knowledge bases based on real-world customer interactions.
- • Embed directly with customer teams during critical implementation moments to provide technical guidance and ensure seamless integration of Vantage’s platform into their existing workflows.
- • Translate complex cloud cost data and infrastructure behaviors into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- • Maintain deep familiarity with cloud billing structures, usage metrics, and cost allocation models to accurately interpret and optimize customer spend.
- • Work within a remote-friendly culture alongside a high-output team of ~55 employees, with strong alignment to product development and customer outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in a technical, customer-facing role (Solutions Architect, Forward Deployed Engineer, Technical Consultant, Sales Engineer, or similar)
- • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data stacks
- • Experience working with cost data, billing exports, usage metrics, or large datasets
- • Comfortable writing SQL and/or Python for analysis, troubleshooting, or automation
- • Excellent communicator who can explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- • High ownership mindset and comfort operating in ambiguity
