📋 Description

• As a Forward Deployed Engineer at PermitFlow, you will work directly with enterprise customers during pre-sale and early pilot phases to understand their real-world permitting workflows and build working software solutions that prove value before deal closure.
• Day to day, you will sit with customer operations teams, prototype integrations against live data from systems like ServiceTitan, Salesforce, and Procore, ship production-ready slices of functionality, and convert customer-specific learnings into reusable platform features.
• You will join PermitFlow’s Growth team within Engineering, Product, and Design — a newly formed, founding role focused on accelerating customer value and feeding real-world insights back into product development.
• In this role, you will learn how to bridge the gap between custom engineering and scalable product design, gain deep exposure to construction tech and enterprise sales cycles, and help shape the future of AI-driven infrastructure for the nation’s builders.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong software engineering skills with end-to-end ownership of integrations across APIs, data models, backend, and sufficient frontend to ship working demos
• Experience prototyping on messy, real-world data and systems, particularly with CRMs, ERPs, or field-ops tools like ServiceTitan, Salesforce, or Procore
• Track record of shipping production systems while making smart trade-offs for speed, reliability, and scale
