📋 Description

• Work directly with customer engineering teams to design, prototype, and implement real-time communication and voice AI applications using the LiveKit platform
• Design scalable architectures for real-time audio, video, and AI-powered applications in production environments
• Build reference implementations, sample applications, and prototype integrations to accelerate customer development cycles
• Guide customers through LiveKit SDKs, APIs, infrastructure setup, and deployment strategies for production-grade systems
• Debug and resolve complex technical issues in live customer environments, often under time-sensitive conditions
• Lead technical workshops and architecture review sessions with customer developers and product teams
• Translate customer feedback and implementation challenges into actionable insights for LiveKit’s Product and Engineering teams
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve developer experience, documentation, and tooling based on real-world usage patterns
• Contribute code, examples, and improvements to LiveKit’s open-source ecosystem when aligned with customer needs
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, supporting them from initial experimentation through production scaling
• Operate remotely or travel on-site as needed to support customer deployments and workshops
• Partner closely with engineering and product to surface customer-driven requirements that shape the future of the LiveKit platform
• Maintain high standards of polish, clarity, and communication when interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Rapidly learn and adapt to new tools, systems, and emerging technologies in real-time communication and AI infrastructure
• Embrace a fast-paced, low-process environment where ownership, initiative, and autonomy drive success
• Serve as a bridge between customer needs and platform development, ensuring LiveKit remains developer-centric and production-ready

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend or infrastructure engineering
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Node, Rust, or C++
• Experience building or integrating developer platforms or real-time systems
• Comfort working across APIs, SDKs, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure
• Ability to quickly understand complex systems and debug issues in real-world production environments
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with customer engineering teams and internal product teams
