📋 Description

• The Forward Deployed Engineer owns the technical implementation of complex integration workflows that go beyond standard onboarding and where Hatch lacks native solutions, acting as a hands-on builder for n8n flows, API integrations, webhook configurations, and multi-system orchestrations.
• Day to day, the role involves partnering with sales to scope complex integration projects, building custom middleware and integrations for non-standard client tech ecosystems outside standard templates, owning end-to-end technically complex onboardings, QA/testing implementations, monitoring post-launch, defining best practices, acting as the field-side voice for R&D, and serving as a primary technical consultant for clients including onsite visits.

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of experience in a similar client-facing role including 1-4 years of software engineering experience, with a preference or background in consulting
• Proven ability to navigate a broad ecosystem of technology
• Comfortable diving into comprehensive developer documentation to build custom middleware (like n8n flows)
• Eager to transition into a dynamic, client-facing role and solve complex, high-impact business problems directly with clients
• Great communication skills with business and technical audiences
