- • As a Forward Deployed Engineer at PostHog Inc., you will play a critical role in accelerating customer success by leading short-term, high-impact implementations that ensure new and existing customers derive maximum value from PostHog’s product suite. This role sits at the intersection of technical execution and customer advocacy, where you act as a trusted advisor and hands-on engineer to help organizations adopt PostHog quickly, correctly, and with long-term stickiness. Your work directly contributes to increasing product adoption, reducing time-to-value, and improving customer retention by ensuring implementations are technically sound, privacy-compliant, and aligned with best practices in product analytics and behavioral data.
- • Day to day, you will: lead technical workshops and implementation sessions with enterprise customers to audit, optimize, and migrate their PostHog setups; build and maintain automation tooling that streamlines onboarding processes across the customer base; conduct deep-dive investigations into complex technical issues such as identity resolution failures or feature flag inconsistencies; advise customers on experiment design, retention modeling, and behavioral monitoring strategies using PostHog’s analytics and AI capabilities; integrate data flows into and out of PostHog via its native pipelines and data warehouse; proactively analyze support tickets and usage patterns to identify at-risk accounts and systemic friction points; collaborate with product engineers to surface and ship product improvements derived from real-world customer feedback; and serve as the primary technical liaison during customer engagements, ensuring seamless communication and knowledge transfer.
- • You will join PostHog’s Product-led Sales team, a highly autonomous, mission-driven group focused on scaling customer success through technical excellence and product-led growth. The team operates with radical transparency, async-first communication, and a strong bias for shipping — Tuesdays and Thursdays are meeting-free to protect deep work time. - • In this role, you will develop deep expertise across PostHog’s expanding product ecosystem — including analytics, CDP, data warehouse, and AI features — while sharpening your skills in technical consulting, automation engineering, and customer success strategy. You’ll gain experience influencing product direction through direct customer feedback, shaping internal tooling to scale professional services, and working in a high-trust environment where your judgment and initiative are valued above all.
