• • As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers achieve success with Opal. You will embed yourself within prospect and customer organizations during pivotal moments, including sales cycles, implementation phases, and expansion initiatives. Your primary objective will be to architect, build, and deliver the technical solutions necessary to overcome obstacles and guide customers to successful adoption and value realization. This is not a typical support role; it's a hands-on engineering position where you will be empowered to be creative, challenge conventional thinking, and build deep, trust-based relationships through your technical expertise and problem-solving prowess.
• • Your responsibilities will span a wide range of critical activities. You will lead technical discussions during sales cycles, meticulously designing solutions that precisely align with customer requirements and business objectives. A significant part of your role will involve writing production-quality code to develop custom integrations, build compelling proof-of-concepts (POCs), and execute complex implementations. Some of the solutions you develop may even be productized, contributing directly to the core Opal platform and benefiting all our customers. Conversely, other solutions might be unique, one-off integrations tailored to specific client needs. You will be a key contributor to the Opal product itself, leveraging your firsthand experience with customer environments to influence our product roadmap and ensure our engineering efforts are focused on solving the most impactful problems for our revenue-generating initiatives.
• • Furthermore, you will drive customer implementations from the initial kickoff meeting all the way through to successful production deployment. This includes proactively troubleshooting issues within customer environments, ensuring seamless integration, and cultivating technical stakeholders into enthusiastic champions of Opal. Your ability to surface recurring patterns and insights from customer interactions will be invaluable. You will document these learnings meticulously and collaborate closely with our engineering teams to help prioritize roadmap items that have the greatest potential to drive revenue and customer satisfaction. This role demands a proactive, self-directed individual who thrives on solving complex problems and making a tangible impact.
