- • Serve as the primary technical expert embedded with enterprise customers to design and build custom, high-impact solutions on and integrated with the Neara platform.
- • Develop custom features using the Neara SDK and platform APIs, writing code in TypeScript/JavaScript and the platform’s declarative scripting language to automate project changes, integrate real-time third-party data, and manipulate electricity network models.
- • Create tailored visualizations, calculations, and advanced data analysis tools to enhance customer workflows and decision-making capabilities.
- • Build custom user interface elements that simplify and automate complex operational workflows for utility engineers and stakeholders.
- • Develop robust integrations between the Neara platform and external enterprise systems using RESTful APIs compliant with the OpenAPI Specification.
- • Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, translating complex business needs into clear technical designs and implementation strategies.
- • Lead hands-on training sessions and workshops for customers on the Neara SDK, platform APIs, and best practices for custom solution development and maintenance.
- • Collaborate with internal product, engineering, and sales teams to identify emerging customer needs and strategic opportunities to drive account growth through custom development.
- • Configure, report, and manage data integrations to ensure seamless alignment of the Neara platform with the customer’s technical environment and strategic priorities.
- • Work directly with customer engineers and business stakeholders to deliver solutions that unlock new capabilities, optimize infrastructure investments, and improve grid resilience against extreme weather events.
- • Contribute real-world enterprise feedback directly into the product roadmap to shape the evolution of the Neara platform.
- • Operate as a hybrid technical consultant and software engineer, balancing client-facing advisory work with hands-on development across multiple enterprise deployments.
- • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical teams and executive audiences to drive consensus and empower customer adoption.
- • Utilize modern development tools including Git, Node.js, npm, and the terminal/command line to manage codebases and deployment workflows.
- • Build and maintain data pipelines and custom tools (e.g., macros, scripts) to deliver maximum value through automated, scalable solutions.
- • Work remotely from Dallas, with flexible hours and arrangements to support optimal performance and work-life balance.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience as a Software Engineer or Forward-Deployed Engineer building and delivering custom technical solutions at the enterprise level.
- • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, and Python.
- • Proven ability to rapidly understand and utilize proprietary SDKs and RESTful APIs (OpenAPI Specification) to build integrated solutions.
- • Experience working directly with customers in a consulting or client-facing technical role.
- • Skilled in data analysis, integration, and building tailored tools such as data pipelines or automation scripts.
- • Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to both engineers and executives.
