  • • As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Neara Inc., you will serve as the technical expert for strategic enterprise customers, blending hands-on software development with technical consulting to design and build custom solutions on the Neara platform that unlock new capabilities and drive business value for electricity grid resilience.
  • • Day to day, you will use the Neara SDK and platform APIs to develop custom features in TypeScript/JavaScript and the platform’s declarative scripting language, build custom visualizations and data analysis tools, create tailored UI elements, and develop robust integrations with external enterprise systems while serving as a trusted technical advisor to customers.
  • • You will join a mission-driven team of brilliant minds passionate about using AI and machine learning to create engineering-grade digital twins of electricity grids across four continents, empowering utilities to simulate extreme weather and structural stress to build a more resilient global energy future.
  • • In this role, you will rapidly grow as a technical leader by shaping product evolution through real-world customer feedback, leading training workshops, and bridging software engineering with deep technical consulting to become a highly sought-after expert in enterprise solution architecture.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Experience as a Software Engineer or Forward-Deployed Engineer building and delivering custom technical solutions at the enterprise level, with direct customer engagement or consulting experience preferred.
  • • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, and Python, along with modern development tools including Git, Node, npm, and terminal/command line.
  • • Proven ability to quickly learn and apply proprietary SDKs and RESTful APIs (OpenAPI Specification) to build robust, integrated solutions.
  • • Skilled in data analysis, integration, and building tailored tools such as macros and data pipelines to maximize customer value.
  • • Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, driving consensus and empowering customers.
