• As a Forward Deployed Full-Stack Engineer at Fundamental, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful adoption and integration of our NEXUS platform by our enterprise clients. Your primary focus will be on building and refining the critical integration layers and user interfaces that enable seamless customer engagement with our powerful AI models. While our Machine Learning engineers concentrate on optimizing model performance, your expertise will be directed towards enhancing usability, ensuring robust integration, and maintaining the highest standards of system reliability.
• You will be an integral part of our dedicated Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) team, working directly with customers throughout their journey, from the initial Proof of Value (PoV) stages through to full post-implementation support. This hands-on involvement guarantees that our solutions are not only exceptionally accurate but also readily accessible, highly secure, and flawlessly embedded within the client's existing production workflows. Your role will involve managing complex technical relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders, including IT security teams, application owners, and key business users. You will serve as a crucial conduit, effectively translating real-world field requirements and challenges into actionable feature requests and enhancements for our core platform roadmap.
• A significant aspect of your role will be to independently architect and develop production-grade applications. These applications will serve as elegant wrappers around our core NEXUS models, transforming complex AI capabilities into intuitive, high-value user experiences that drive tangible business outcomes. You will spearhead the 'last mile' engineering efforts, which encompass intricate API integrations, sophisticated data visualization techniques, and the implementation of robust authentication and authorization security protocols, such as Single Sign-On (SSO) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). This will be executed within the challenging and often restrictive environments of enterprise IT infrastructure, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), on-premises deployments, and even air-gapped systems.
• Furthermore, you will be responsible for designing and implementing highly performant backend services. These services will be crucial for efficiently ingesting vast amounts of customer data and serving model predictions at scale, with a stringent focus on maintaining low latency and ensuring high availability. Your close collaboration with our distinguished research and product teams will be essential. You will act as a vital feedback loop, translating operational friction points – such as difficulties encountered during data ingestion or perceived gaps in the user interface – into critical, data-driven inputs that directly inform and shape the future direction of the Fundamental platform roadmap.
• Your collaborative efforts with our Sales and Solution Architect teams will be instrumental in aligning diverse stakeholder expectations and requirements. You will develop custom dashboards and specialized tools that empower business users to easily inspect, understand, build trust in, and confidently act upon the predictions generated by our AI models. This role demands a blend of deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and practical business application.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Full-Stack Engineer, with a demonstrable history of successfully shipping production-grade code in complex, enterprise-level environments.
• Deep proficiency in modern frontend development frameworks such as React, TypeScript, and Next.js, coupled with extensive experience using data visualization libraries like D3.js, Recharts, or similar tools.
• Strong expertise in backend development using languages and frameworks like Python (FastAPI), Go, or Node.js, and a solid understanding of database design principles with experience in systems such as PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Proven experience with containerization technologies (Docker), container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes), and setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfort and experience navigating stringent enterprise security constraints, including practical experience integrating with various identity providers (e.g., LDAP, SAML, OIDC).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to translate complex technical concepts and architectural nuances into clear, understandable business value for non-technical audiences.
