- • Own end-to-end developer activation across APIs, SDKs, CLIs, MCP servers, wallets, and emerging agent interfaces to drive adoption of Payward’s financial infrastructure.
- • Define and measure key adoption metrics including API usage, SDK installs, production integrations, GitHub engagement, and AI agent retrievals.
- • Build and ship quickstarts, reference implementations, SDKs, CLIs, MCP servers, and developer tooling that lower barriers to integration and improve developer experience.
- • Partner directly with Engineering and Product teams to ensure all infrastructure launches are developer-ready and agent-friendly on day one, influencing product design and feature prioritization.
- • Establish the standards for developer experience, technical storytelling, launch strategy, and ecosystem engagement for Payward’s developer platform.
- • Create compelling technical narratives, launch content, live demos, and documentation that position Payward as the leading infrastructure for financial applications.
- • Represent Payward at industry events, developer conferences, and meetups through keynotes, live coding sessions, and technical presentations.
- • Act as the internal advocate for developers and AI agents by surfacing friction points, ecosystem needs, and feedback to influence product direction and roadmap.
- • Help build the long-term DNA, processes, and culture of a world-class Developer & Agent Interface organization from the ground up — with no existing playbook or team to inherit.
- • Drive the discovery, understanding, and interaction pathways for developers and AI agents seeking trading, payments, wallet, or financial services infrastructure.
- • Work closely with engineering teams building APIs, wallets, payment systems, and agent-facing products to shape the products themselves, not just their documentation.
- • Demonstrate deep literacy in agent-era workflows, including MCP servers, structured retrieval, AI-native developer experiences, and where retrieval outperforms traditional SEO.
- • Maintain strong technical credibility by reading OpenAPI specifications, reviewing code integrations, and engaging with engineers as a peer.
- • Exhibit a builder mentality with a bias toward shipping, experimentation, and iterative improvement of developer-facing tools and experiences.
- • Establish measurable outcomes focused on production usage and integration, not just awareness or engagement metrics.
- • Contribute to the creation of a new function at Payward that will become the default infrastructure choice for developers and AI agents in financial services.
🎯 Requirements
- • Built and scaled developer adoption at a top-tier developer platform company such as Stripe, Vercel, Cloudflare, Anthropic, GitHub, OpenAI, Twilio, Stainless, or equivalent
- • Strong technical credibility — able to read OpenAPI specifications, ship code, review integrations, and engage engineers as a peer
- • Proven track record of owning measurable adoption outcomes (e.g., API usage, production integrations) rather than just awareness or engagement metrics
- • Exceptional storyteller capable of writing launch posts, delivering keynotes, creating demos, and making complex products feel intuitive
- • Builder mentality with a bias toward shipping and experimentation
- • Deep understanding of modern developer ecosystems and workflows
